Buy one from an E28 528i (82-84 I think) and then just put the speedometer drive gear into the 5 speed tranny. The speedometer hole in E28 is just plugged with a metal plate. You also have to remove the end cover to put the drive gear in.

I Done the speedo meter conversion myself but the tranny is not mounted on the car yet.

An old 528i transmission is very cheap!!!
