I don't know... I've gotten every single question accurately and helpfully answered by those folks via their e-mail list serv (which is free and doesn't require you to join the registry). I'll join the registry a little later to generally support the whole thing, but I don't know why you think they are useless. One of thir guys wrote the FAQ I posted for you, plus there are more FAQs I found and the manual convrsion question
comes up a lot on the list and gets answered.

I've been a member of the SSR for 3 years now, and if it weren't for the people of the SSR giving me advice and helping me out when I had no clue how to fix my car, needed parts, etc. I would have given up on my Bavaria a long time ago.
