I think I'm going about this in the wrong way but here goes: I think most people buy a newer car so that they don't have to drive their older cars all the time or in inclement weather. I've got the opposite situation. I've bought a relatively newer M3 which I do not want to drive during the winter. I am looking for a car to drive daily and during the winter. I've located a very nice early '70s BMW. I'm guessing that the body panels were not galvanized back then. Should I just throw out the idea of driving an early BMW as a driver? Is rust too much of a factor. The car I've located is very nice and very cool. I just don't want to destroy it. Thanks.
