635 oil pan sensor (archive)

Could someone please assist me? I have a 1987 635Csi and had to have the oil pan replaced. It was replaced with one from a 535, so the oil sensor would not work with this oil pan. Therefore the light on the check system stays on all the time. How can I get this light to go out? I do not want to disable it from the check system board. Can you provide power to it or ground it to the body?? Thanks Mark
