I have a '72 Bavaria that I have spent countless hours restoring. I also own a '72tii that I have begun to restore. There are a lot more people and different groups that are involved with the '02 so naturally it is more popular. I think the total E3's that made it to USA is about 26k. Compare that to the '02.
Even though my bavaria will never be worth as much as much as my '02. I would probably never sell the Bavaria. But I know some day someone will offer me more money for the tii than my love for it. The E3 is hard to explain, you either love the car or you hate it and give it away to a nut like myself.
My advise to anyone that might be interested in an E3 is to follow your heart and not to listen to the general public.
Don't get me wrong I love the '02 also.
