On my car i had to lift the engine off of the mounts. I have also been told that the oil pump must be removed and lowered with the pan. But for me lifting the engine provided enough space. Good luck.
Has anyone removed the oil pan on their E-3 with the engine still in the car? I am having difficulty clearancing the oil pump. I removed the front stabilizer bar and rotated the crank so that the con. rod nuts are all as flat as possible BUT I still can't get the #$%@## thing off! Any ideas?
