That is because there are 2 types of keys. 1 works everything(for you) and one works only the doors and ignition(for your mechanic). You need to take your registration, title, and VIN to your local dealer and they will order your keys.

Hi guys.

I managed to lock myself out of the trunk of my new-to-me Bav (3133080). I know there was a discussion of how to "get in" sometime in the past year or so, but I can't find it. How do I do it?

Also, where can I order a new trunk lock and key? The ignition/door keys turn the cylinder in the trunk lock, but the darn thing doesn't open for me.
