I swapped mine with a '79 733i steering wheel. Then I modified the big Bav bus wheel for use on my '77 F100. Old Ford steering wheels have plastic horn buttons which disintigrate with age. The Bimmer wheel has three quality metal horn buttons. I had to do some creative welding and modifying, but the Bav wheel looks like it belongs on the pick-em-up.

NOTE that BMW steering wheel splines changed in the early '80s. They went to MORE splines apparently so as to achieve finer steering wheel centering adjustment. Count your splines - later wheels won't fit.
