Stubborn Overhead Console Break Light....help... (archive)

I have a 1987 325IC and my overhead console break light stays on constantly since I bought the car. I have checked all three of the break lights (2 on the back and one on the trunk) and they all work fine. I've tried replacing the bulbs to see if there was a bad bulb in the circuit but the light stays on. I've messed with the break light on the trunk but the light still stays on. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might check or how to troubleshoot this problem ?
