Does anyone know where to get an adjustable regulator? I had one that i bought up in Seattle a decade ago that was manufactured in england, Micro Dynamics i believe. Made a hell of a difference on my 77 320i. My 84 318i is about to undergo some intake and exhaust mods and i want it to get all the gas it can drink. I also saw a 75-77 2.8l 5 series at pick and pull with throttle port and air meter intact. What kind of management system was used on these? Any chance of conversion? I have the machinery at work to modify the throttle port to fit but haven't had time to think it through as far as compatiblity problems. Any suggestions? Does the air meter send a pulse signal or is it more of a potientiometer? I cant imagine that current air meter and throttle will not restrict air flow.
Will L-jetronic compensate if i were to throw in a 2.0 block and heads with 10 or 11:1 compression. Will they even bolt up together? Got beaten by a new mercedes and feel the need to modify. E-21 engines are easily obtainable and would probably bore out to max for a larger displacement.Any advise on potential mods would be appreciated. Thanks
