Thanks for the input. The problem has been solved.
I have replaced the air flow meter which took care of it.


: My 89 325ix runs perfect most of the time, but sometimes it develops a terrible miss under power.
: The only way it will run then is at full throttle.

: I have already done the following to no avail:

: Swapped out the electronic control unit,
: replaced the throttle switch,
: complete tune up,
: swapped out the battery,
: cleaned the ground terminals,
: replaced the engine temprature sensor,
: checked for intake leaks,
: replaced the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator,
: cleaned the air flow sensor,
: replaced the oxygen sensor,
: did I miss anything?

: I'm almost desperate enough to take it to the dealer.
: All suggestions are appreciated,
