: : HELP. How do you change the indicator bulb for the auto transmission? (89 325is)I have removed the covers and and I can see the holder and wires and it appears to be removable from the bottom, but, before I break something, what is the "trick"? Thanks Daniel (my 73 tii is a much SIMPLER CAR, none of this hokey s**t! unfortunately the SO hates the tii so she has hers and I have mine!!!!! but I still have to fix it)

The "trick" is, use a thin round piece of something to push the bulb from the top, while releasing the catch at the front with your finger!!!!!!!!Not all autoparts shpops have the bulb, its called a European indicator lamp, some other small bulbs that look like it are close but the base will not fit into the holder.....Pep Boys had it! (2/$1.99, how much does BMW charge?)

: Not much of a trick, just pull straight down and remove the bulb from the socket.
