: I am trolling from the e-34 message board, but i'm looking for some advise. I have a chance to buy an 88 325ix, 5 spd, 160k, with a motor that self-destructed due to a triming belt failure. The body is in excellent shape and the interior is in reasonably good shape.

: Questions: What is a reasonable price range for such a vehicle?
: Is the engine from a regular E-30 the same as an ix with the exception of the oil pan?
: Would an engine swap be difficult, extremely difficult, or ridiculous?
: Would parting-out be worthwhile?

: TIA
: Kurt

I GOT MY 88 325I 4DOOR WITH A BLOWN ENGINE FOR $7OO.OO, THE BODY AND LEATHER INTERIOR BOTH IN EXCELLENT CONDITIONWITH ALL THE POWER INCLUDING REAR HEAD REST AND ARM REST. AS OF AN ENGINE SWAPIT IS A LOT OF WORK BEING THAT YOU HAVE TO SESEPARATE ENGINE FROM TRASMISSION.
PARTING OUT THE CAR IT DEPEND ON HOW MUCH YOU GET THE CAR FOR,$400 OR $500 IS A FAIR PRICE, IF YOU BUY THE CAR KEEP IN MIND FOR THE WHEELS AND THE SPOILER KIT (FRONT FLAIRS NEED IT TO COMPLETTE THE SET).
YOU CAN E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY AT GUTI3M@AOL.COM.
