I have the same prob. I bought a new sensor to replace a dead one, and immed. the light flickered at idle. Anything over 1000 rpms and no prob. I just bought a new oil pump and will install next weekend. It also occurs when I take sharp turn (Jughandles, a new jersey torture device). Best bet? replace both. The oil pump was about $130.00 at BMP, including gear kit and gaskets.
