The ignition timing on your 325e is not "user-adjustable"...it is fixed. However, it can be altered with a performance chip (various suppliers)....

: I've recently replaced the head on a sweet little 86 325E 6 cylindar 2,5 liter that I purchased for dirt cheap here in Germany (and the head was also dirt cheap in the Czech Rep.). I completely reworked the whole engine and had success when I turned the key however, the rockers continued to knock when I turned it over. I adjusted and tighted the rockers however they continued to knock. My next thought is the timing since I also replaced the timing belt. Could somebody please point me to a site that might show the timing and how to adjust it or post a response here. Thanks
