Let me tell you that you had the most informative response of any. This is the first time i've looked at the brakes since i got it in Nov 98. The car has 94K miles on it so the car could possible have the original rotors. The pads are the original brand that was put on the car, "Jurid", i believe. The brakes are excellent but are metallic so they reduce rotor life. It seemed shady to me to put pads on the rotors with a worn lip around it, but it seems to be what people are doing to save money.
