HELP! Need buying advice for 87 325 (archive)

Hello,

I've just seen a decent looking 87 325 with 126k. Everything seems to work well, except there's a driveline shudder when decelerating (when I take the foot off the gas pedal). Of course, there's more shudder in the lower gears.

The question is - is this a common occurence? Something that can be fixed relatively cheap? Or am I looking at a major overhaul?

The other question is - the seller tells me it's an "M" model, with a 2.7L engine and some sport bits. Is it any better than a "regular" 325? The trunk just says 325, no other letters.
