: anyone have a suggestion for tire pressures for 225/50-15 V700s on a really stiff E30?

: I'm taking my E30 out for it's maiden voyage on friday and I have at an utter loss as to where to set the tire pressures.

As a point of reference, i'm using the same
tire on 15x7 Kosei K1 wheels and have a very stiff
suspension (450# front and 600# rear springs), and
3 degrees of negative camber all around. I haven't
taken the car on the track, but my autocross
pressures have to be 42 fr and 41 rear to keep
the fronts from rolling over and to balance out
the handling. For the track, you'll probably
want to run around 5 lbs less than that and let
them grow as they get hot. You may be able to
get away with even less pressure but the Kumhos
like a lot of pressure. The front and rear
pressures should be fairly close to one another
regardless of overall settings. If you can come
up with a pyrometer it would be a great idea to
take tire temp readings as soon as you come off
course.
