A while ago my handbrake handle snapped, the metal just tore!! So I welded it and everthing was fine until the other day when the weld broke. So I thought i'd better find a replacement. It was then I realised how many are broke! I saw 10 other cars with this problem and they all seemed to be 87-89 models! I now have one from an 84 which is in good condition but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Please go and check as when it starts to go the handle twists to one side and only just catches the ratchet causing the handle to drop while you are away from the car!! So unless you leave your car in gear it goes rolling down a hill!!!

Please everyone go and check yours now, just slide off the plastic grip and gaitor and inspect your handle before your car ends up smashed at the bottom of a hill!!!!
