: Someone Help me please!!!. I have a 1989 325i which every so often the doors will not open with the turn of the key when the security lock is engaged(key turned all the way to the right on the drivers side door). The only way to open the doors ( works only sometimes) is to use the trunk keyhole to open and close the doors.Door buttons inside the car will not even go up or down when turning the key in the lock. Is there a fuse is the securuity lock when engaged working on battery power. Battery is ok by the way. Hopefuly soneone can help me. Thank you very much in advance for any assistance you can provide.

i was locked out my bimmer with the keys inside the ignition this summer .....and i was shittin bricks.....the doors locked automatically on me.....i can't help u with the eletrical problem but for a temporary solution.....i found the rubber on the side of the window gives way and u r able to slide a hangar through it....in about 20 seconds i was able to hook the door lock and pull it up!.....it worked for me without the chance of breaking the glass....i was happy but sad since i am a rookie at doing it.....that means anyone could enter my car if they knew about this..hopefully their eyez won't see this...the rubber is on the side of the molding.....i own a 325e 86......hopefully i was of some help.
