How To Restore BBS Wheels? (archive)

I have an '88 325is; what's the best way to restore my stock BBS wheels? Two of the wheels have brake residue practically etched into finish near the end of the "spokes". I've soaked and scrubbed with simple green but no luck. I'm thinking of repainting the wheels assuming I get them cleaned. I've seen some Wurth wheel paint--will this work?

BTW, I need one center cap; any leads?
