Valve noise only when engine is warm. (archive)

I have an 88 325is with 155k on it. When the engine is cold it sounds quiet and as it warms up i start to hear a ticking sound coming from somewhere in the valve train. The ticking gets alot louder at around 2000rpm's. Above and below that it is not very loud.I recently did a valve adj. and it didn't help.
