The problem could be the live wire (red?) in the loom to door ... the pin in the car side disintergrates due to electro corrosion. Put in loop wire as it is very difficult to replace fitting (need to solder all pins etc). works fine.
(You should be able to lock each door seperately with the key ... )325i auto?
