I used to work for a company that made airbags for BMW. All models of car have different bags, we used to make 18 different types! left & right hand drive are different, convertables and saloons are different. It all depends on the angle and rake of the wheel, the height of the roof and all sorts of other factors. The reason for the same part #s is probably somthing like the case and nothing to do with the bag inside. DO NOT FIT A BAG FROM A DIFFERENT CAR TO YOUR CAR, IT COULD COST YOU YOUR LIFE!!! Having the wrong bag can do more damage than having no bag at all.
