Hell, having ANY airbag is going to do more damage to you than sitting properly away from the wheel and being belted in in the first place.

Not to mention that selling "used airbags" = "stolen goods".

Besides, give me a 5 or 6 point harness over something hitting me in the face at 200 mph anyday.

: I used to work for a company that made airbags for BMW. All models of car have different bags, we used to make 18 different types! left & right hand drive are different, convertables and saloons are different. It all depends on the angle and rake of the wheel, the height of the roof and all sorts of other factors. The reason for the same part #s is probably somthing like the case and nothing to do with the bag inside. DO NOT FIT A BAG FROM A DIFFERENT CAR TO YOUR CAR, IT COULD COST YOU YOUR LIFE!!! Having the wrong bag can do more damage than having no bag at all.
