It turned out that the RCA cables from the deck to the amp were running near the fuel pump. The interference occured on the passenger side under the rear seat. I moved the RCA cables as far away from the fuel pump as possible resulting in an undetectable amount of "buzz".
Hope this helps!
: Ok guys here's the set up. . .
: In the front I have tweeters and 5.25"
: In the Rear I have 2 12"
: Powered by 1000 watt amp
: Indash CD Player
: Tweeters are Blaupunkt
: 5.25" are Bostwicks
: 12 are MTX 3000
: Amp is BOSS Audio
: CD Player is Pioneer DEH P4000
: After I wired everything in and sure it was grounded properly, I switched it on and it was fine. . .Now if I start my car. . I get this annoying whine from the front speakers. . .and pitch gets higher when I rev it. . .I immediately checked that it's grounded properly. . .and it was. . .I checked the head unit. . and it's grounded fine also
: I unhooked the speakers from the amp (5.25") and plugged them str8 into the Head Unit. . .no noise. . . . .
: Now I'm thinking that I ran the wire to close to something. . .
: I got it running the down the right side of the car. . .
: I'm thinking it's the battery cable that runs from the enigne to the trunk giving me interference. . . .
: Does anyone agree or disagree. .. .or have suggestions. . . .
: Thanks,
