Reuse Torx head bolts/torque values? (archive)

Aloha guys!

Am almost ready to bolt up a rebuilt head on a recently acquired '90 325i. A Porsche mechanic friend said I could reuse the existing torx head bolts and just torque up everything to 55 ft.lbs. following the torque sequence.

My Bentley manual doesn't mention anything about reusing old bolts, but did describe "angle-torquing" the head bolts. Anyone have any experience with this?

TIA for your answers.
