You will need "
transmission, driveshaft and flex disc(+new bolts and nuts),trans support with mounts, slave and master cylinder and the two hoses, pedal assembly(pain in the rear)flywheel(new bolts here), clutch disc, pressure plate (and the new bolts)release bearing, pilot bearing, maybe a new console, shift tower and shift lever. You will have to disable the neutral safety switch also. I did this for a customer with a 635 and to do it right was over 2000.00 parts and all(everything new except trans, driveshaft and console)

: I live in Israel and want to buy a BMW because I enjoy driving. The problem is the almost all BMW imported here have an auto gearbox. That is why I am interested in a 5 speed transmission conversion. Did anyone do this ? Was this project hard to do ? What I mean is, can I do it myself, an any BMW shop do it, or does it take a real specialist ? Was it expansive ?
: Thanks,

: Avner.
