Jason,
You'll need to swap the computer.
The 320i uses the Bosch k-jet system
while the 318i uses the l-jet system.
I'd look for the Bosch fuel injection book before
attempting such a swap.

: Can it be done without modification. There were a few archives pertaining to the job, but, no follow up to see how it went.

: I noticed that between the too engines there are some subtle differences. Fuel pressure, compression pressure, etc. Will these affect how the computer runs? Or will I have to swap the computer from the '83 to the '84 to run correctly?
