: My '87 325 is in great condition. Only 100,000 and a perfect interior. The paint needs to be done by the end of the summer. I am also looking to add wheels, side skirts and front/rear spoilers, along with adding any simple engine extras that will treat her right. I am new at this and would like to know where to start and what you guys recommend. Also, I am 19, so any money saving tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unless you have a real good job, these mods will take a long time to complete. Being only 15 when I bought my 325e, I was going to do the whole body kit, engine mod thing, but it just never happened. I spent all my money on car payments and fun. oh well, I got rid of the e and got an M3 that had everything that I wanted my e to do already on it. I'm not putting down the regular E30, I also had an 87 325es that I really miss because it was so much smoother than the M3. however my dad was scared that it would really break with 206,000 on the spedo.

I would buy a chip and other engine enhancments to make the car really quick, maybe a 2.7L conversion. then lower it then get rims that suit the lowering. This guy that goes to school with me has a 85 318 with clear corners and big rims, however it looks like a 4X4 since it isn't lowered, that's why I would lower it before getting rims.
my 5 cents
