Floyd,
First off congrats on the purchase, welcome to the wonderfull world of the quirky e30. Second, I can help you, and you can help yourself here as well. What you are reporting are what we call "common failure" problems. The answers are yours for the taking here It's the search feature at the top of the page. I used it to find THIS on your brake lining light question. The Fuse question can be answered by someone more electrical than me, or do yourself a favor and get the
manual, a virtual bible for your car. It also has a section devoted to you all-too-common battery drain. (I've got it too, haven't located the gremlin yet, alot of Saturdays spent looking though, it comes and goes and I drive the Sears guys nuts!) Another good source is
This Site Australian, I think, but great for all these gremlins which plague our ultimate driving machines. Also try the
technical section of the BMWEe30 net. You'll find out how to fix your leaky trunk (when you discover it leaks) and lot's of other goodies.
Hope all this helps, and as a side note, try to post one query at a time and let someone answer, or maybe include all your questions in a query, when can get cranky about that here!Jim Ladd
