When looking at the end of the drive axle you will see the 30mm nut which holds the axle to the bearing assembly. Before you can remove this nut you will have to take out the locking ring which is driven around the nut. The ring looks like part of the housing because it has three indentations which follow the contour of the inside of the housing. Drive a small screwdriver at the edge of the locking ring and try to pry at the edge of the ring until you can get some needle nose vice grips on there to pull the ring out. After this ring is out, remove the 30mm nut (it should be pretty tight ~125 ft-lbs) and the axle should be almost ready to press out. You will first need to remove the six 8mm hex bolts which attach the axle shaft to the differential. Now the axle should be able to come out (you may have to press it out or use a sledge hammer and punch to knock it out).
Have fun,
