: : : In my 87 325, the bottom portion of my dash ( I don't know if it is reall considered dash.), you know, that cardboard like paned that is pretty shoddy, screwed in in several places, well anyway, It is coming loose, and it hangs down low enough that my feet get under it while clutching and braking. It is damn dangerous! I have tried to find a way to attach it back up to the position, but I can't come up with anything. I had the same problem on my e21 320i, so I bet a lot more people know what I am talking about as well. Does anyone know a good way to fasten it in place, out of my way?: : : Thanks a bunch.

: : : Did I explain it well enough?
: : I used a zip tie around the stering colum down by the pedals in between the gas and break pedels. a part of the cardboard thinge goes right along there. I have to agree that this is a pretty shotty piece of construction, should see something like this on a ford, not a BMW

A zip tie is a thin plastic piece that forms a loop and once tightened need to be cut to remove. You can get them at any hardware or electroics store. Zip ties are used most often to bundle bunches of wires. They're cheap and really handy.
