Just Replace it. The sensor disconnects up the line about 10 inches. There is a boot covering the connection and that part disconnects. I replaced mine about a month ago...ONLY $8 at the dealer (arguably one of the cheapest parts you can get from the dealer) Ha! There is no way to replace only the plastic holder and no real reason to when the entire sensor is so inexpensive.

BUT, for a future hint, the sensor goes faulty and a replacement still doesn't work, you can solder the wires together to close the circuit if the light becomes irritating. Not the best idea, but it works if you think the sensor gives false reading.

: I just changed my front brake pads. Attached to one brake pad was a low brake pad sensor. It had a loop of wire attached to the notch in the pad with a small porcelin or plastic holder. In trying to pry the holder out of the notch, it broke.

: What to do? I can't imagine I have to replace the whole sensor assembly because this plastic holder must be worn through before the sensor will be triggered. So, after the sensor is triggered there has to be an easy way to replace the plastic holder. Any suggestions? ('87 325is)
