the antenna mast for this car can be bought for $28 from a discount supplier - add shipping of course. retail i closer to $35.

there is a manual antenna replacment that eliminates the motor altogether for about the same price as retail. steve d'geralomo had this in stock for a while.

the e36, plastic wrapped antenna can be made to work but it is actually more expensive.

even the new e46 antenna knub can be made to work but it is more expensive still. btw, does anyone know if the new antennae are amplified?

i'd replace the antenna's mast if the motor is still good. in fact, i just did that again for about $30 delivered and ten minutes of my time.
