Yesterday was our chapter’s first ever drivers school. It took me lotsa work to organize it, but it was a real success. We had door prizes for everyone, even give aways for the marshalls and flag crew. A bit wet at the end of the day but very entertaining.
My E30 H23 held very well. The Hartge spring and shock combo was a bit soft but very well balanced. The engine was strong too. And it has 17 years of use behind it. The only problem came from the brakes. They are not strong enough and do not last before getting a spongy pedal. My brake master cylinder is the same as a non-ABS early E30. I was thinking swapping it to a larger one, and get a brake upgrade from Ireland. On a track, brakes are everything.

This year Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant is closed for renovation, so we have to use smaller tracks, but the fun is still there. Half mof the registrations were first timers. They had a blast and will come back for more.

Too bad Imissed the TEXAS 2002 gathering I was supposed to attend.
