As you know, the brakes are not the E30’s strong point. They even are known to be pretty weak. The machine is very fast, and the brakes are the same size as on a 2002 Tii, and with a ONE piston caliper...

My next upgrade will also be upgraded brakes. Check with Ireland Engineering. Thye developped different set-ups according to your wheel size. From 11.5inch for 15inch wheels to 13inch for cars equipped with 17inch rims.

Prices are still high even though they are half the price of the competition. Count on paying $1200 for 2-piece rotors, Wilwood Superlite Bislet calipers, special brake lines and pads.
