Need Advice on brake upgrade! (archive)

I own a 89 325is that is in need of pads and rotors-currently I have 17 in wheels and the brakes r very noticable and I would like to replace the rotors with slotted or cross drilled units but have heard a lot of negative things about drilled rotors-so I guess the help I need is with the slotted rotors versus the oem units-is it worth the extra money and will they last-I drive very aggressivly and use my brakes very often-I do not want to invest money in something that looks nice but does not last-Also if slotted rotors are the way to go what pads will work the best for me and were can I find good pads and rotors for a good price online?TIA for the help guys-the archives didnt help much with this one!
