Shricks are a bit pricey to me. BMP was a little more reasonable for cams that were not reground. They ALSO have a warranty. Mine is a 288 and I didn't see really any difference in mid-range torque, but you'll damn sure see the hp difference above 4500rpms. I say go with BMP just so you'll have extra money to spend on the custom chip (which is a MUST). It should push you a little over the 200hp mark. It'll be ample hp to piss off the rednecks proudly sporting thier Z28 and 5.0 badges.

Shrick $685
BMP $425

: : What would be the best cam that I could get that would increase my hp as well as tq in a rather dramatic way? Dramatic not meaning 60hp gain or anything like that (unless that is possible). I'm just looking to move some of the car's balls to the midrange and also gain some more top end to give her some legs. Any suggestions?

: A common switch is to a Shrick 288 cam. Say goodbye to a smooth idle, it's pretty radical. But it'll definitely give you the "balls" that you want.
