: If your car is set up properly for it (like the M3, for example), you can use the left side of the ball of your right foot for the brake, and the right side of the ball of your foot on the accelerator.
BMW definitely has good pedal placement. I recently drove my friends Civic Si. The car is an absolute blast to drive, but you really have to tweak your foot to heel and toe. i actually dont quite use the heel of my foot to work the throttle, i actually use the outside center edge of my foot. ive found that Vans are really good shoes to drive in, as they basically have a completely flat sole and you can heel and toe very easily in them. for me, something with a really high cut sole like Nike's are harder to drive in.
