BMW definitely has good pedal placement. I recently drove my friends Civic Si. The car is an absolute blast to drive, but you really have to tweak your foot to heel and toe. i actually dont quite use the heel of my foot to work the throttle, i actually use the outside center edge of my foot. ive found that Vans are really good shoes to drive in, as they basically have a completely flat sole and you can heel and toe very easily in them. for me, something with a really high cut sole like Nike's are harder to drive in.
