usually its the taillight gaskets that aren't sealing properly. Before you go out and buy new gaskets, try tightening down the 5 or six small nuts that hold the lens to the car. if theyve loosened then the gasket won't seal properly and water will get in the trunk. i had the same problem, and after i tightened those nuts the problem went away.
