in most markets, you can get these for less than $200 - and that often includes installation. if not, it's an easy diy'er. i've paid $165 with labor for both of the last two that replaced.

the cars are old enough now that the only glass i've found is from bmw so quality is less of a concern. my glass included the roudel in the corner.

the replacement is easy. details are in bentley and the faq. one suggestion, have a high-quality rubber/vinyl conditioner handy, like lexol, to coat the gasket with. most install shops will use silicon and get it all over the paint.
