The idle control valve is bad because in order for the car to idle properly the intake hose to the ICV must be pinched. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Do fuel additives reduce emmisions? Don't tell me I need an new ICV, I know that already. Just need a cheap quick fix.

...it failed the NC emissions inspection. My mechanic recommended running a couple of tanks of premium gas with a can of fuel injection cleaner. It worked. I've passed NC emissions the last two years. Also, help performance, generally. CA is probably stricter than NC.
