For the most part I agree with you, I've noticed a shifting of character in those who have bimmers. This goes as well for a lot of the jokers driving E36 M3's. The family is under attack. But I have a lot of great bimmerfile friends, and I still love E30's more than any other BMW (ok, maybe not more than an M1) so I just go about my love affair and try to ignore the incoming idiots and morons.
