: Yesterday at a driving school my buddy melted the KVR Carbon Fibre Sport pads on his '90 325i so badly that the left front caliper was literally toasted by flames from pads worn down to nothing. Miraculously he pulled off before his newish drilled rotors got carved up - they only need a turning. Alas, he's very dissapointed in the pads as they only had a few months of street use and two track days on them.

: So he's now looking for new pads and front calipers and was wondering if there exists any upgrade to OEM calipers which still work with the OEM size rotors. He doesn't want to go with a big brake upgrade right now as the set-up will still need to fit within his OEM winter rims.

: Also, he's thinks in the future he'll keep seperate street and track front pads. Any recommendation for appropriate brand/model? What's recommended if he stays with a single pad for street and track?

: TIA.

Call Ernie Bello at Ernie Bello Motorsport, 561-686-1941 (West palm Beach, FL) for a big brake kit that will fit inside your 14" wheels. I had this kit on my 325is.

Dave - no longer have E30, kids got big so I have E28
