Seeking mech/tuner in NJ (archive)

Seeking part time mechanic/tuner to maintain my '86 325 used for solo 1 hillclimb racing and track events. I'm looking for someone who has experience with E30 repairs and performance tuning. You should have your own tools, as well as a garage (I'm not interested in commercial shops, already have one of those bleeding me dry) I understand mechanical design and hi- performance dynamics and enjoy working with someone who knows how to bring concepts to reality. This is just a hobbie but I like to take it seriously! Also, If you have a pick-up truck which is capable of towing the car to track events in PA, WVA, VA, CT, NH, that could be a way for you to get paid and spend a weekend enjoying the races. Yes, there is a little money involved, but really you should be interested because you like BMWs and motorsports and it beats the hell out of laying on the couch watching SpeedVision.
