i have a 316 with 1800cc carb engine which is controlled by a ecu. will drive along at 2900rpm and when put into neutral it will shoot upto about 4000-5500rpm and does not come down until engine is switched of, but when turned on it wiil all be ok. does anybody know what the problem is. its not the carb of the ecu as these have been checked and are both ok.
