: I'm looking for anti-sway bars (front and rear) for my 1988 325i.

I'm curious as to why you want to upgrade
your swaybars? If you have the stock springs
it's not a good idea because the rear mounting
tabs are at risk of breaking (on the body and
the trailing arms). If you want them to reduce
body roll then they won't do much (i've tried).
Stiffer springs do much more for body roll than
swaybars on these cars and help prevent the
mounting tabs from breaking by taking the
load off the swaybars. I prefer to have stiff
springs and modest swaybars (currently have
stiff Ground Control racing springs with a 22mm
adjustable Racing Dynamics front bar and a stock
E30 M3 14.5mm rear bar and the car handles very
very well (neutral w/oversteer on command)

Unless you have stiffer aftermarket springs,
i wouldn't increase swaybar size yet.
