85 318i footwell water leak. Reseal windshield? (archive)

Hello,

Yes my gas pedal will rust away unless I do something. I've checked the cowl vent and it's clear. I suppose I need to have my windshield removed and re-installed with the application of some sealer or another.

Has anyone had this problem?
