i'm thinking about getting a short shifter for my '85 323i. i read a lot and i like the UUC shifters. but my problem is which one to get. it states in the web site that they no longer recommend using the competition shifter on older models anyone know why? i also like the street EVO shifter, will that fit in my car as it is pre 86 (it's '85)which one would be better for my car, competition w/CCERK or street EVO? do i need to move/adjust anything to fit the street*EVO to my car? i heard that competition is really short and feels a little notchy. what does street EVO feel like? can people with experience with both shifters give me a idea of what would be more suitable. i basically don't want to buy a shifter that is notchy, i don't like that feeling for shifts. also what additional parts do i need to replace when i put a short shifter in?
thanks geoff.
